Needle Has a Point is my BA project in Textile design (2015), where I wanted to explore textile stitches where the main purpose of the stitches were for construction and functionality, not only decoration like it normally is. I wanted to see if this way of using embroidery could put the stitch in the position of being vital to both the expression and function of the object.
The ideas generated from this project is what later led me to 3D modelling and surface design. I enjoy and want to work with form and design that is three dimensional and I want to work within the design process where the different shapes and the design language is formed. I have also found that my textile background, where I have been exploring colors and tactility, can be quite useful on my digital journey towards being a great surface designer.
